Michael M. Frumovitz, M.D.

Professor, University of Texas at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center

Dr. Frumovitz is a Professor in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. He completed his residency training at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital in New York and fellowship at M.D. Anderson. He has been a faculty member since completion of his training and currently serves as the ad interim Chief Patient Experience Officer in addition to his clinical and research activities. He has actively worked to conduct meaningful research on this rare disease, including initiation of multiple clinical trials, and to actively advocate for women with this disease. Additionally, he been an integral member of the team who helped make this website and associated research possible.

Dr. Salvo completed her residency training in Gynecology at Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2014. She has published twenty-three articles in peer-reviewed journals on cervical cancer, radical trachelectomy, sentinel lymph node mapping, neuroendocrine cervical carcinoma, enhance recovery after surgery, and cervical cancer in pregnancy. She authored a total of six book chapters and is a co-author on the Merck Manual chapter in gynecologic oncology. Dr. Salvo has also presented at several national and international meetings, including the Annual Meeting of the International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS) 2019, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO) Annual Meeting on Women’s Cancer, 2022, Arizona, United States of America.

Naomi joined the team in 2012 and manages activities for the Gynecologic Oncology Rare Tumor Program at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
